Rest in Peace my friend

Today the world is a whole lot dimmer, but the heavens have gained that brightness that we have lost. Today we lost a dear friend and the pain of that loss runs deeper than the deepest caverns.

Kevin we love you so much and there will never be anyone that can fill that void. You have change so many lives and made so many friendships grow from a tiny seedling and I am honored that I could call you a friend and have you in my life. I will always remember you with the memories and with the friends that you introduced me to.

Kevin, we'll see you on the other side where I know you'll be waiting with a drink in hand ready to party or tell us a funny story of the adventures you had while we were still here. I look forward to the days where we all will be together again.

Until then my friend, take care.

English translation:

A hundred years have passed
Yet I hear the distant beat of my father's drums.
I hear his drums throughout the land.
His beat I feel within my heart.
The drum shall beat
so my heart shall beat.
And I shall live a hundred thousand years.

Now that the main wedding update is out of the way there are a few people that I want to give a special thanks to.

To my husband for bring there through all of the planning, shopping trips, endless rants and continual questions about what you thought of things, your opinion was very important to me as I wanted this day to be as much about you as it was about me. I look forward to many more years of adventures with you as your wife and best friend.

For those who particpated in Dine for America:

There isn't a $$ total, but the number of resturants that participated was huge!

From my friends at Sigh Co.

Please feel free to pass it on

~Col

Hi all,
I wanted to let you all know that Brian, Dante, and I are all safe in Dallas. We have moved in with our friend Ry and are running Sigh Co. Graphics out of his garage. Some local screen printers that we know here are lending us equipment until we can get back into our own digs, so we're operating as best we can.

The real reason for this e-mail is to let you know that in an effort to help rebuild our city as quickly as possible, we have created a t-shirt to help raise funds for local New Orleans charities. $10 from the sale of each t-shirt will be split between the New Orleans Artist Relief Fund which benefits musicians, and the Lousiana Disaster Recovery Fund which is a clearing house for local charitable organizations.

To purchase this t-shirt, and for information on how you can help please go to http://www.sighcographics.com/rebuild/

Please pass this along to as many people as you can. I have seen a few other Hurricane t-shirts out there, but most of them are donating a minimal amount to charities.

My love to you all,

Gwen Callahan

WASHINGTON -President Bush said Tuesday that "I take responsibility" for failures in dealing with Hurricane Katrina and said the disaster raised broader questions about the government's ability to respond to natural disasters as well as terror attacks

The webmasters comment:

The following document was compiled and presented by a fellow LS-MVPA club member who could not sit idle in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Only in the days after this horrific natural disaster, has the magnitude and scope of the disaster come to light.
